This is an oversized, luxurious hand stenciled, hand painted silk and velvet wrap from UK artist Neil Bottle. The scarf was made for Harrods in the 1990's.
Neil Bottle's textile work has been commissioned by hotels and companies around the world and displayed in the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Crafts Council Collection in London and the Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York.
This scarf has beautiful layers of stenciled designs and scientific drawings, with keys and clocks and planets in a collage form. The graphic designs are gold, burgundy, red and purple, with gold and black printed layers. The backside is a luxe black velvet.
