Description

We love Ungaro vintage dresses because they always feature fabulous prints and luxe fabrics. This vintage late 1970's or early 1980's silk dress has cherries and blueberries and pretty stripes at the square neckline and on the cuffs of the puffed sleeves. Dresses like these are perfect to wear to a Summer wedding or that special daytime event that requires something a little more elevated.

Emanuel Ungaro was one of those very fortunate designers who was able to work for the dream couturier,  Cristobal Balenciaga! After leaving Balenciaga, he went to work for Courreges before starting his own label in 1965. Ungaro's name became synonymous with movement, color, pattern mixing, and layering. The Parallele line is Ungaro's ready to wear line and it was hugely successful. We find that his pieces stand the test of time and are resistant to fading and other issues to which many designer pieces seem to be susceptible.
