Description

This fuzzy vintage coat was hand woven and made in Hood River, Oregon in the late 1980's or early 1990's.

The coat has side slit pockets, unique front buttons and is lined in a silky satin. The mohair is a blend of purple and red and we estimate this coat to fit a modern day US size 10/12.

These artisan hand woven pieces are becoming more and more collectible as they are harder to find. There were a lot of artisans in the 1980's and early 1990's who made beautiful hand woven scarves, sweaters, jackets, and gloves and then sold them in either museums, at art shows, or in high end ladies boutiques.  The quality is unmatched and although they don't have the big names that are recognizable, they could compete with any couture label!

Buying something like this jacket is a great way to add a textured element to your wardrobe that is original and modern.  One of the things that Alessandro Michele does so well for Gucci is mixing textures and patterns in a way that looks like high fashion!  Wear this jacket with a silk dress or with separates to create your own chic statement!
