This Geoffrey Beene New York black vintage cocktail dress has a unique neckline and an origami style design. There are black satin panels that cross in front, meeting at the waistline to open up in two large pleats running across the skirt. From the pleats come two angled slit pockets that add to the folded look of this structured dress.
This dress has long, dolman sleeves with no seams. The fabric of the dress is has a fine texture to it and the dress zips up the back and along the cuffs of the long sleeves.
The entire dress is lined and was purchased originally at I. Magnin. This fabulous little black dress was made in the USA and fits a size 8/10.
This dress is one from the estate of a retired 93 year old former California judge. We were fortunate to be able to acquire her designer wardrobe which included most of the important designers of the 1960's and 1970's.
