Cookie Lyon Donning a Dressing Vintage Silk Kimono
Posted on 21 November 2016
We were absolutely delighted to see Cookie Lyon from Empire (played by Taraji P. Henson) serenaded by Biz Markie while wearing a gorgeous 1930's vintage kimono from Dressing Vintage!
In this episode of Empire (Season 3 Episode 2: Sin That Amends), Biz Markie woke Henson's character up by crooning his 1989 hit "Just a Friend." The floral silk kimono with rich red lining was draped over her shoulders by Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard), as she sang along and embraced Markie.

We love when celebrities (and the characters they play on TV) wear vintage, especially style powerhouses like Taraji! Seeing vintage clothing on screen or in print is such an incredible way for these beautiful designs and unique prints to live on forever.
