When you think of Karl Lagerfeld, you most likely think of Chanel, but the designer actually spent much more time at Fendi! Karl Lagerfeld started working at Fendi in 1965, and stayed there for 54 years, while he was with Chanel for only 36. Fendi dresses like these, especially formal gowns, are very hard to find, and this one is truly spectacular.

This is a breathtaking Fendi vintage 1980's red carpet moment evening gown. Karl Lagerfeld designed this gown for Fendi and it gives us the feeling of old Hollywood glamour. This stunning dress is strapless and features an exquisitely ruched sweetheart bodice. The center part is a column dress and it is beautifully flanked by a dramatic, sweeping train that extends to the sides. The outer "train" portion of the dress is lined with luscious layers of tulle to give just the right fullness. The fabric is 100% silk and the color is a rich shade of red. We love that this dress comes with a matching long sleeved cropped bolero jacket for cooler evenings or air conditioned buildings!

Both pieces are labeled Fendi Roma Made in Italy 100% Silk - Size 42.
